Written by Chanel M. contributed by Kyle J. Norton, All right reserve

Wuyi Cliff Oolong tea, the best of Oolong and one of 3 ingredients of Tava Tea, is a species of Camellia sinensis belonging to the family Theaceae, native the Wuyi Mountain area. Its leaves and leaf buds has been used as tea in Chinese culture and many places in the world, including Wuyi Rock Tea, Tie Guan Yin tea, Taiwan tea and Oolong tea, Iron Goddess of Mercy and other products in Fujian, etc.. Oolong can be bought as green or black tea but it is best known as a black tea in the process of withering under the strong sun and oxidation before curling and twisting.

Oolong tea Health Benefits
In the examination of the sympathetic and cardiovascular effects of intraduodenal injection of OT(oolong Tea) in urethane-anesthetized rats, in the study of "Dose-dependent effects of L-carnosine on the renal sympathetic nerve and blood pressure in urethane-anesthetized rats" by Tanida M, Niijima A, Fukuda Y, Sawai H, Tsuruoka N, Shen J, Yamada S, Kiso Y, Nagai K.[7a], researchers found that intraduodenal injection of decaffeinated OT lowered RSNA(renal sympathetic nerve activity) and BP(blood pressure) as well as OT, indicating that substances other than caffeine contained in OT may function as effective modulators of RSNA and BP.
